Process Press is a small independent publisher in Philadelphia and our mission is to give a platform to rarely heard voices on important social issues that directly affect them.

Our current project is about incarceration. We are looking for essays, short stories, poems and artwork dealing with issues around incarceration. From its effects on families to life inside, we are looking to express many of the issues that are often over looked or ignored.

All of our work is volunteered and the publications will be distributed free November 2012, in conjunction with an event at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art.

Short stories and essays should be between 600 and 1,500 words and should not be longer than 6 pages typed.

Please submit 1 to 5 individual poems or 1 to 10 pages of poetry.

Visual art accepted via mail and email.

All email attachments of work should be in forms that can be easily accessible – such as files ending in .doc .jpg – if you have any questions please feel free to contact via email.

Please keep in mind that we print small pamphlets and booklets. We prefer short meaningful works.

Deadline: Friday August 31, 2012
